Whenever we get to Friday, we like to take our foot off the pedal a bit and call it ‘Fun Friday’. And whenever we have #funfriday on the SGI student blog, we like to learn English with videos that will make you laugh, think and just have some good old fun! We have collected some of the best videos from the internet this week. They will not take too long to watch (just over 5 minutes in total) and it’s an excellent way to learn and improve your General English skills… your brain is relaxed, you are motivated to watch and understand and you are enjoying the language – a perfect way to improve your understanding. So, enjoy the videos: watch and re-watch so that you understand all the words. At the end, sing-a-long to one of the most popular pop songs of all time – a brilliant way to increase the speed that you will be able to speak English.

There is an old saying in English: “Don’t believe everything that you read in the newspapers” A variation is: “Never believe what you see on television” When you watch this video, I think that you will agree with me that there should be a new saying for the internet age: “Never believe anything you see on Facebook!” Right?

Dancing Queen by ABBA is one of those songs that you can hear all around the world and loved by millions. Sing aong with the subtitles – a great way to learn English without really trying.
