As always, there are a million diverse things to do in London this weekend. Here is a short selection of some cool things to fill your weekend. Remember, ‘when you are tired of London, you are tired of life‘ – as the old saying goes. So get out there and enjoy it!
SUNDAY: Super Bowl
Super Bowl XLVIII is obviously the biggest American football event of the year. You can see the whole build-up and game at The Social in Little Portland Street (just around the corner from the school). To get your hot dogs and American beers you need to get a ticket (which always sell out) quick!
ALL WEEKEND: Chinese New Year
There are events all over the city all weekend for Chinese New Year, but the biggest event is on Sunday in the centre of town on Sunday: there will be crowds to watch the traditional Chinese parade (lion dancers, dragons, acrobats, the lot) which goes through the West End, China town and ends up in Trafalgar Square with a special ceremony at 12pm
SUNDAY: Fashion Sunday
This is one for the fashionistas and uber cool hipsters! Twenty of London’s youngest and most exciting independent fashion labels will be showing off their cool stuff in Hackney, East London at The Oval Space this weekend. There’ll be super cool music (obviously), a champagne bar and excellent food on the heated terrace. Only £3 on the door.
