It is so easy to make English grammar mistakes when you are a beginner.
If a teacher never corrects these errors, then you can still be speaking English with lots of little ‘wrong bits’ even you are a more advanced speaker.
It may be that a sentence directly translated from your own mother-tongue language sounds right in English, but to a native-speaker it is a clear mistake.
